After 8 years together, Hoang wanted to surprise Kat with a winter proposal – he knew that Kat loved Frozen, burgundy, their travels together and for her family and friends to be involved. After tricking Kat into thinking he was not proposing until next year, her best friend called her to lunch and a walk in the park to discuss her “boyfriend problems”.
On a crisp, winter afternoon, we set up an easel with a chalkboard reading “Some people are worth melting for”. This was a line from her favourite Disney movie, Frozen. Next to it, a small table had remnants of their relationship: first, a picture of them in Los Cabos, with an embroidered bandana to represent the time they went ATV’ing.
Second, a fake Cactus Club gift card to represent their first date. On the back, is a message of how he felt about her the first time he saw her. Out on the field were 15 of her closest friends and family, holding parasols spelling “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” upon Kat’s arrival.
“Thank you for everything you guys did. My fiancée was very surprised and really enjoyed everything that was planned in her wedding proposal. She was thoroughly impressed with all of the thought put into it. The most important part is that her family and friends were involved;
It was truly the perfect “Will You Marry Me?” moment that she deserves!” – Hoang N.
